This programs costs are being covered by a City of Charlotte Neighborhood Matching Grant in partnership with MoRA (Monroe Road Advocates).
Greenway Park Summer Dance Camp is for GWP Elementary, Idlewild Elementary, Oakhurst Steam Academy, Rama Road & McClintock Middle School Students. This is a recreational dance camp; no experience is required. Campers will get instructions in aerial dance, hip-hop, acrobatics and tumbling. We will provide Health & Wellness tips for Parents and Children on Wellness Wednesdays. We will have an hour and a half session with the parents, more information will be provided at a later date directly to the parents who register their children.
On our last day there will be a performance where we invite families to come see what their student has been working on.

Select your student's name and choose your desired weeks and submit.

Pick Up/Drop Off:
Please bring your child to the gym and sign them in and out of class.
If medication is being sent with your child, please provide clearly written instructions for dispensing and in the original container.
If there is anything that you would like us to know about your child/children such as allergies or behavior, please email us prior to the camp start date so our staff can be aware.
Breakfast, Lunch, and Snacks:
Breakfast, Lunch and Snacks will be provided. Please send a refillable water bottle, and a bottle of hand sanitizer.
What to wear:
Clothes that fit to the body that you can move in. Leggings and tank tops are great or leotards and tights if you like.
Hair pulled back neatly out of their eyes.
What NOT to Wear
Jewelry (small stud earrings are fine) and watches
Long finger or toe nails
No baggie t-shirts or running/gym shorts
We want to make sure all students have a fun experience. We expect students to follow instructions of the teachers and treat other students with respect. They are also expected to participate in all activities to the best of their ability.
We will be monitoring CDC and state guidelines to determine best practices as we approach summer camps. COVID-19 safety protocols will be implemented if necessary.
