Open Practice

Open Practice Schedule

September - May
(Subject to change)

Open Practice Guidelines

 

  • Can review skills you have already been taught. 

  • Can explore within these skills, but not teach yourself something from YouTube or social media.

  • Can review choreography.

  • Cannot teach other students skills.

  • Cannot explore skills that you have seen others do, but you have not been taught.  This is dangerous.

  • Cannot use other apparatus or equipment that you have not had instruction on even for a cute photo.

  • Must be respectful of others in the space who are training or working and your volume of music and personal voice at a respective level.

  • Cannot share a pulley point.  If you need to work on a skill involving more that one person, please ask the Studio Manager so that you can schedule at time to use an appropriate point.

  • A teacher will be in the space but not available to teach or help you with skills.

    If these above rules are not followed, you will not be allowed at Open Practice for 1 month.

FREE for CC&DC Student and Junior Company (follow Open Practice Student Company instructions)

To Sign Up for Open Practice

New Students (No Jackrabbit account)

Choose a date from the calendar below that says Open Practice - Drop In with your desired time and follow the online registration prompts.

Current Student (Active Jackrabbit Account)

Login to the Parent Portal, choose Classes & Events - Find Events, and choose Open Practice - Drop In at your desired time (you may also view in calendar mode) and follow the registration prompts.

To Sign up for an Open Practice Student Company

Login to the Parent Portal, choose Classes & Events - Find Events, and choose Open Practice Student Company at your desired time (you may also view in calendar mode) and follow the registration prompts.

When arriving in the studio for Open Practice, please sign in at the front desk.

Open Practice Policy

If you wish to use the adjustable pulley points, you need to know how to use them correctly for YOUR SAFETY. Please see video, photo instructions and ask a teacher, who is available to confirm you did it correctly. Teachers are NOT AVAILABLE when they are teaching classes.  Please do not disrupt a class to ask a teacher how to do your rigging. If you need help the first few times, schedule a time with a teacher to help you. ALWAYS test your points before you get on them.
