This circus & dance camp is an opportunity for students who have circus and dance experience to improve technique and learn new skills.
​
Campers will personalize their experience by selecting a specific discipline to focus on for the week from each of the following categories:

Aerial: Silks, Trapeze, or Lyra

Acrobatics: Solo, Partner, or Cyr/German Wheel

Dance: Contemporary, Jazz, or Hip Hop

At the end of the week, students will showcase their progress in a special show-and-tell performance for family and friends!
2026 Faculty
Caroline Calouche - School Director, CC&DC Company Director, Faculty (She/Her) has taught contemporary dance, Pilates, Gyrokinesis and ballet at UNC Charlotte, Winthrop University, The Belmont School of Ballet, Gaston Dance Theatre and The School of North Carolina Dance Theatre. Her dance and fitness teaching background has allowed her to become a sought after aerial dance instructor. Not only has Caroline developed a safe method and syllabus of teaching Aerial Silk, Sling, Trapeze, Lyra, Corde Lisse and Spanish Web, she is able to teach students how to incorporate floor work with their apparatus to seamlessly move from the ground up and back again. With her strong anatomy and physiology background, Caroline focuses on proper alignment in the air and on the ground to prevent injury and promote efficient movement. Caroline’s aerial and dance training is diverse. In the air, she has worked with Juliana Hane, Nicole Merman, Elsie and Serenity Smith, Christine van Loo, Caroline Wright, Jamie Hodgson, Tanya Burka, Cheetah Platt, Kevin O’Connor, Allie Cooper, Nancy Smith and Susan Murphy. While on the ground, Caroline’s influential teachers range from Leah Cox (Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company), Elizabeth Corbett (Forsythe Composition), Libby Farr (Ballet), Andrew Harwood (Contact Improvisation), Fernando Bujones (Ballet), Elizabeth Gillaspy (Ballet), Susan Douglas Roberts (Contemporary), Brenda Daniels (Modern Dance) to name a few on an endless list of amazing teachers!

Elijah Motley - Dance
Elijah, or Eli, Motley (Greensboro, NC) is a choreographer, dancer, teacher, and MFA in Dance and Choreography recipient from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Eli also holds a BFA in Dance and Theatre and a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Old Dominion University. Situating his artistry within the frame of Hip-Hop Theater and Immersive theater by connecting hip hop, house, breaking, funk styles, and various contemporary modern forms.
His performing resume includes Chicago Dance Crash, Rennie Harris Puremovement, Caroline Calouche & Co, and others. His choreography has been presented in Virginia, North Carolina, New York City, Chicago, Wisconsin, Edinburgh (UK), and Texas. Zoe Flowers - Dance and Circus Arts
Zoe is a Charlotte native and began dancing at the age of 3. She trained at the Charlotte Cirque and Dance Center from ages 7-18 and has performed in several Caroline Calouche & Co. productions including Clara’s Trip, Star Gazer, Crossroads, Nightingale and NextStep.

Zoe just completed two years of full time training in the San Diego Circus Center’s Preparatory Program and 1 year at Ècole Nationale Du Cirque in Montreal, Canada. Her main discipline is dance trapeze but she has experience on several different aerial apparatuses like silks, lyra, hammock, etc.
Zoe has coached a variety of disciplines at both the San Diego Circus Center and Charlotte Cirque and Dance Center. She looks forward to continuing to work with new students throughout this year.

Constance Echo Palmer (She/Her) is a movement arts teacher specializing in aerial dance and acrobatics. She is a multi-disciplinarian accomplished in solo and partner work on all apparatus and is most well known for her intricate and technical vertical work on rope and fabric. Constance has performed as a circus artist for 20 years and has been teaching movement as long with certifications and teacher trainings in aerial arts, yoga, and Pilates. Constance carries a B.S. in Biology with a pre-medical focus on Anatomy and Physiology which informs her teaching through a biomechanics lens. Aside from a career as a touring artist Constance is accomplished as a former studio owner, current teacher trainer and consultant for several studios, and contributing author and editor for aerial manuals and dance methodologies.
